Once again, I have decided to completely change the software and hosting I use for my site. The old solution (
Serendipity) worked fine, as did the hosting on GoDaddy, but it was just too...well,
custom. And the problem with customized solutions is that they take lots of personal time and effort to maintain and improve, in addition to not always playing well with other web software.
So now, I'm moving it all over into Blogger. Hopefully this will make it much, much easier for me to submit snippets from places besides a web browser, but time will tell. Of course now I get to completely rebuild the web layout but I'm also a bit interested in learning the Blogger API to see what other kinds of neat stuff this system can do.
So, I'll eventually be importing some of the stories and photos from the old site (the stuff that I liked anyway).
